LUDO RULES

  • Rules:
  • 1. Players take turns in a clockwise direction.
  • 2. To start the game, each player must roll a six on the dice. The player who rolls a six gets an extra turn.

  • 3. After getting a six, or if a player already has a token in play, the player can choose to move a token already in play or bring a new token onto the board from the starting area.

  • 4. Tokens move in a forward direction only, following the path indicated by the dice roll.

  • 5. If a player rolls a six, they get an extra turn. However, if a player rolls six three times in a row, they lose their turn.

  • 6. If a token lands on a space occupied by an opponent's token, the opponent's token is sent back to the starting area.

  • 7. Players can't have more than one token on the same space.

  • 8. If a token lands on a colored square with a "star" symbol, the token can't be captured by opponents.

  • 9. Once a token goes around the board and reaches its "home" area, it must enter the home column by an exact dice roll.

  • 10. The first player to get all four tokens to their home area wins the game.

MODES Of LUDO

Welcome to A2Z Games Ludo, where you can enjoy three exciting variants of this classic board game: Classic Ludo, Quick Ludo, and Time Ludo. Each variant offers a unique twist to keep the fun rolling. Here are the rules for each version:

  • 1. Objective:

    The objective of Classic Ludo is to be the first three players to move all of your four pawns from your home to your safe zone.

  • 2. Setup:

    Each player will be assigned a color and place for pawns in their respective starting area. The game board consists of a circular path with four colored zones - one for each player.

  • 3. Gameplay:

    Players take turns rolling a six-sided dice and move their pawns accordingly. If you fail to make a move, the game will automate the dice roll and pawn movement for you. If a player misses three consecutive turns, they are discarded from the game.

  • 4. Getting Started:

    To get your pawns out of your home and onto the board, you need to roll a six or a one. Once a pawn is out, you can move it forward based on the number rolled on the dice.

  • 5. Capturing Pawns:

    If your pawn lands on a space occupied by an opponent's pawns, you capture it and send the opponent's pawn back to their home.

  • 6. Safe Zone:

    The safe zone is the final stretch of your path, and you can only enter it with an exact dice roll. Once there, your pawns are safe from capture.

  • 7. Winning:

    First, second, and third place winners are the first three players to move all four pawns to their safe zone.
